Paradise 9 are now Gregg McKella on main vocals, guitar, glissando guitar, clarinet and space FX's, Neil Matthars on bass, Tyrone Thomas (Olympic Clamp Down/ex-Alternative TV) on lead guitar and backing vocals and Jonas Golland on drums and backing vocals. The band welcomed Jonas as their new drummer, stepping straight into their headline slot at Tannerfest in July 2014, after Carl Sampson departed after 9 years' service, with Jaki Windmill (djembe/backing vocals/percussion) also moving on after 4 years, concentrating in her new role with the Pink Fairies. The band continue to gig, and have now headlined many festivals including Kozfest, Tannerfest, and a second headliners on the Toadhall stage at this year’s Glastonbury and Green Gathering festivals. They regularly feature guests' performances in their live sets, including Nik Turner (Space Ritual/Inner City Unit/Space Gypsy/Project 9) sax/flute, Kev Ellis (Dubbal/ Gregg & Kev) on harmonica, Micro Cosmic (Sacred Geometry) on synths, Steve Carvey on daburka drum, Angel Flame - dancer (Arthur Brown/Space Ritual), Nik Nimbus (ex-Here & Now) drums, Ron Tree (Hawklords/ex-Hawkwind/ex-MOAB) vocals, and Jeanette Murphy backing vocals and percussion, to name a few. The late great Judge Trev Thoms (Inner City Unit), who sadly passed away December 2010 also occasionally, joined them on lead guitar. Judge Trev contributed on two tracks on their new 2013 album 'TAKE ME TO THE FUTURE' with Nik Turner also guesting on flute and sax on the title track.

The new 12 track studio album "TaKE Me To ThE FuTuRE" AVAILABLE NOW!

The album, features guests Nik Turner sax/flute on the title track, and the late great Judge Trev Thoms, guitar on 2 tracks, Distant Dreams and State Of The Nation.

...Take Me to the Future serves as a great introduction to a hard-working and straight up band who deserve to be heard...

Pat Albertson - Aural Innovations 2013

..Spacy, explorative, invocatory and experimental. This is a bloody super album of magickal sounds. Whooshing noises and psychedelic clarinet. Even a guest appearance by Nik Turner...

Jonathan Downes GONZO magazine 'TAKE ME TO THE FUTURE' 2013

Festival go-er's 'Paradise 9' release their long-awaited second album - 'Take me to the future'... and what a fantastic album it is! Twelve catchy songs, ranging in influences from Punk/New wave, to Psychedelic, to space dub-reggae..DO NOT MISS OUT on this excellent album..."

Garry Lee - http://www.starshipoverflow.com

..What makes this record special, though, is the lightness of touch that moves it effortlessly between psychedelia, punk, reggae, dub and just all those musical genres that represent facets of the counter-culture as a joined-up whole.
